Copywriting and Layout Design

The following images are pieces that I have either created or directly contributed to.

BURTON comp ad [9/9/2008]: I wrote the copy for this Burton comp ad using a predesigned layout. I also chose the eyebrow font and the arrangement of the blocks in InDesign.

BELIZE ESCAPE advertorial [9/18/2008]: I picked up the layout for this advertorial for a retreat presented by Natural Health magazine, created the copy and placed the images myself. I also picked up new photos and edited them in Photoshop before relaying the piece out in InDesign.

SHAPE magazine comp advertorial [9/30/2008]: I contributed all of the copy, creating identities of the characters and developing the full article, using a predesigned layout.

I write music reviews for a couple of websites, the following is a live show review of the Dirty Projectors at South Street Seaport in August, 2008. It can also be found online at: http://icecreamman.com/review/detail/dirty-projectors-white-williams-state-street-seaport

Here is a live review of The Cribs at Music Hall of Williamsburg and can be found online at: http://www.looserecord.com/2008/03/live-review-cribs-at-music-hall-of.php

This is a review of the band Pela. Also located at: http://www.looserecord.com/2008/03/live-review-pela-at-music-hall-of.php

Zyvox Visual Aid [2007]: a 50-page piece detailing MRSA infections and their treatment. Not a pretty sight, but sort of punk rock when you think about it. For this piece I helped to create headlines and body copy in addition to editing. I worked on Zyvox and the Pfizer Antibiotics Portfolio for more than a year.

Here are a couple of the interior pages of the Zyvox piece. Consistent branding, use of images, and copy style is extremely important across all pieces in a product's ad campaign, which demonstrates a strong attention to detail.
